I was born and raised on the west side of Michigan, just north of Grand Rapids. I graduated from Michigan State University (Go Green!) with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Mathematics. Also, I completed the teacher-preparation program through Michigan State, receiving my teaching certification in Mathematics for grades 6-12.
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, photography, attempting (and mostly failing) at recreating things I find on Pinterest, watching Michigan State football and basketball dominate, as well as spending time with my husband, Stephen, and our dog, Chester.
Since I was young, I have had a passion for helping others. It wasn't until my time at Michigan State when I realized that teaching was the career that could fulfill that passion. While tutoring classmates on homework, I realized how rewarding it truly is to help an individual gain further understanding in a topic. From this point, I realized that my strength lied in helping others grow in their mathematical abilities.
I am so excited to be apart of the Whitmore Lake Public Schools community, and I look forward to working with your son/daughter this school year! If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me - my email is [email protected].
